We are seeking a skilled and reliable Service Electrician to join our rapidly growing team, covering the lower mainland. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in institutional and commercial settings. This role involves responding to service calls, diagnosing electrical issues, performing high-quality repairs, adds/ moves/ changes and completing various size upgrades while ensuring safety and compliance with local and national electrical codes. ?
Responsibilities: ?
- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in wiring, circuits, fixtures, and equipment. ?
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently. ?
- Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner. ?
- Install and upgrade electrical systems, including lighting, panels, and outlets. ?
- Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues and providing solutions. ?
- Adhere to all safety protocols and electrical codes. ?
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately. ?
Requirements:
- Valid electrician’s license and FSR (Field Safety Representative) certificate ?
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical service and repair. ?
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. ?
- Knowledge of CEC (Canadian Electrical Code) and local regulations. ?
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently. ?
- Excellent customer service and communication skills. ?
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. ?
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergency services.
- Availability for both day and night shifts as required.
- Network cabling experience (certifications preferred)
- Fiber experience (certifications preferred)
- Member in good standing IBEW Local 213
- Lift/ Fall Arrest Training
- First Aid
