IBEW Local 213

All members working under the Inside Electrical Workers Agreement are required to complete their MEWP CLASS B Boom an Scissor Lift, Fall Arrrest (in person training), SiteReadyBC/WHMIS certification
and have a current Hearing Test card, to be able to bid and be dispatched to work.

Required Certifications

1. You must have a current hearing test completed within the last year. If you need to schedule one, please use the approved testing locations at the following link: https://www.worksafebc.com/en/health-safety/hazards-exposures/noise/hearing-loss-prevention/hearing-test-facilities
  When booking, please ensure you are not billed for the test. The facility should bill WCB Audio Testing, Account #389407. DO NOT PAY FOR A HEARING TEST
2. Completion of the Site Ready BC (including WHMIS) is required.
  If you need to complete Site Ready BC, please review the attached instructions and complete the course. It takes approximately 6 hours and can be done in multiple sessions.
  If you believe you have already completed it, search your email for “BCCSA” to locate your certificate.
  If you need an invite to Site Ready BC, please email me.
3. If you do not hold valid Fall Arrest certification (in-person course only, the former online awareness version is not accepted) and MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform, Boom and Scissor Lift), please register for training with the EJTC here: https://lfforms.ibew213.org/Forms/JRD
4. When all certifications are completed, upload your valid tickets in your member profile on the IBEW 213 Website under ‘CERTIFICATIONS’
**Important: Do not pay for any training or testing. If you encounter issues activating a course or are asked to pay, please contact me for assistance.
PAID HEARING TESTS WILL BE REJECTED**

Members who register for job bids after June 15, 2025
You must have completed and kept your JRD training up to date, or you will be ineligible for dispatch and bidding on jobs if not correctly uploaded and approved.

Job Ready Dispatch (JRD) centralizes and standardizes safety training for IBEW members working under the Inside Electrical Workers Agreement.
